How the Referral Program Works

The Referral Program rewards you for introducing active traders to Ekiden. Your own trading activity unlocks Mainnet invite codes, while your referral network can earn you XP and affiliate commissions.

Unlocking Mainnet invite codes

Open the Referral section at app.ekiden.fi/referral. New accounts begin with no available invite codes. To unlock your first code, generate $1,000 of personal Mainnet trading volume. Each $1,000 in trading volume unlocks one Mainnet invite code, up to 50 codes. These are the same access codes used to enter Ekiden Mainnet, so you can share an unlocked code with a trader who needs access. Your referral link and Mainnet invite codes serve different purposes. The referral link is available immediately in the Referral Hub and identifies traders who join through you. Invite codes are used to unlock access to the exchange.

1. Earn XP through your referral network

When people in your network trade and earn XP, you receive a percentage of their XP based on their position in your network:

• Level 1: 15%
• Level 2: 10%
• Level 3: 5%

Level 1 refers to a trader you invited directly. Someone invited by your Level 1 referral is Level 2, and the next layer is Level 3. As the network expands, activity beyond your direct invites can continue to contribute to your XP.

2. Earn affiliate commissions from referral trading

Referral trading can also create affiliate commissions. You receive a share of the trading fees generated by your referrals:

• Level 1: 40%
• Level 2: 10%

The affiliate dashboard shows pending commission, lifetime paid, downline size, and downline trading volume. Affiliate commissions are tracked and paid in USDCx. An active network can therefore contribute to both referral XP and affiliate commissions.

3. Referrals can grow their own networks

Your network can extend beyond the people you invite yourself. If a trader you refer invites another trader, that new trader becomes your Level 2 referral. If the Level 2 trader refers someone else, that person becomes Level 3 for you. Every trader has their own perspective in the network. A trader who is Level 2 for you can still build a direct Level 1 network of their own and receive the full Level 1 rewards for the traders they invite. Your rewards depend on the trader’s depth in your network:

• XP: 15% / 10% / 5% across Levels 1–3
• Affiliate commissions: 40% / 10% / 0% across Levels 1–3

This means a strong referral can develop their own community while continuing to create value for the network above them.

4. Share PnL to grow your network

Sharing PnL on X can be part of your usual trading routine. When you share a PnL card, select the referral-sharing option to include your referral link in the post. Traders who join Ekiden through that link are attributed to your network. When those traders trade, their activity can contribute to your referral XP and, where applicable, affiliate commissions under the level structure above.

Trade on Mainnet to unlock invite codes: every $1,000 of your own volume unlocks another code. Share those codes with traders who need Mainnet access, and use your referral link wherever you build your community. As referrals become active, they can add to your XP and affiliate commissions while building networks of their own.
